(Features) KT & TKF Thrustors
  • The KT Thrustor is operated by a standard D63 or D71 cage induction motor fitted with a cast iron frame and steel terminal box. The standard version is CSA approved, and a modified version is available for DIP applications. The TKF Flameproof Thrustor has an integral stator/rotor unit in a flameproof enclosure certified to BS229 for Group 1 & 2 gases, and all frame sizes are CSA approved for use in hazardous areas.

Types KT752-6505

Operating position of thrustor must always be within 10º of the vertical with top uppermost.

Pin joints should be used at top and bottom to connect thrustor to load so that side pressure (which may cause binding) is avoided.

Supply cable must be flexible and allow thrustor to pivot

Type KT402 cable entry
Terminal box can be turned through 180º with cable inlet facing the opposite way to that shown

Types KT752-6505 cable entry
Terminal box can be arranged to give any one of four directions of cable entry at 90º intervals.
